Writing for Wellbeing and Growth: The course comprises 4×90 minutes but can be tailored as a single workshop. It is a no-screens safe-space promoting confidence and confidentiality. Content and prompts are curated around your priorities for staff wellbeing and development. Focus areas include: Managing Stress, Managing Anxiety, Finding my Inner-Voice, Saying it Better, Staying Sane, Avoiding Overwhelm, Sharing Stories, Resolving Conflict, Being the Change, Building Trust, and Communication and Connections.
Writing Commissions: A former newspaper and TV journalist and the author of books, essays, and articles, Shyama has researched and compiled feasibility studies for organisations including The Prince’s Trust. Trained in information-gathering and reportage she has created and produced newsletters, impact reports, decks, presentations and observations
Structuring and Presentation of Events: Shyama has extensive experience presenting and moderating events, discussions, panels, and one-to-ones. You can see her here, interviewing Dame Elizabeth Anionwu on Mary Seacole for the British Library’s Unfinished Business Exhibition in October 2020; and hosting a discussion on mothers and daughters featuring Esther Freud, Gwendoline Riley, and Sonia Faleiro in 2021. She also ran three live streamed roundtables at Birmingham Museum and Gallery in 2022 and interviews for QPBF.
